How can olive oil be preserved?

It is advisable to keep olive oil in cool and dark places. The oil kept in the right conditions can resist up to two years. It always tastier in the first two months after its production and can offer almost the same pleasure until the end of the first year.

The most appropriate temperature for the preservation of the oil is 15 to 20 degree celsius. Olive oil mustn’t be kept in the fridge. In case it gets cold it becomes turbid and eventually crystalizes. There is no need for that because oil is kept in room temperature and this way it offers its natural taste.

It shouldn’t be kept in an open container. Small portions are suggested for keeping olive Oil.

If the oil is in contact with the air, it loses its qualities.

Olives are fruit which grow in the olive trees called olea europaea. Olive trees have been cultivated for the last 1000 years and they were also present in the biblical times.
